But that’s not the only drink that contains caffeine. Some other drinks and foods are caffeinated. And some of them would be a surprise to you. Some symptoms can help indicate if it’s a breast cyst. There is nipple discharge. And this discharge could be either yellow, dark brown, straw color, or clear. It could also come with breast tenderness and some pain.

Relationship Between Caffeine and Breast Cysts
For a long time now, people have claimed that caffeine is a major cause of breast cysts. But the truth is that the theory between caffeine and breast cysts hasn’t been scientifically proven. The reason behind this assumption is that some women experienced a reduction in breast cyst symptoms after they stopped consuming caffeine.
Well, even though this hasn’t been scientifically proven, this doesn’t stop you from checking if there is any relationship on your part. One way to do this is by using a diary. Take note of all the caffeinated drinks and food you were taking when you found out you had a breast cyst. And then try to compare. After comparison then try to limit caffeine gradually.

How to Reduce Breast Cyst Symptoms
Well, there are a few things that you can do to help reduce the symptoms that come with breast cysts. And they are:
- Wearing a supportive bra
- Reduce the consumption of fried foods and fatty foods.
- Reduce the amount of sodium you consume daily.
- Lessen the consumption of caffeinated drinks and foods. Such as coffee, tea, chocolate bar, and many more. Also, reduce the consumption of aspirin.
- Take more vitamin B6 supplements. About 100-200mg a day would be good enough.
- Take evening primrose oil. About 2-4g in a day.
If you follow all these you can expect that the symptoms would reduce a great deal. But if after a while you do not see changes in symptoms make sure you go see a doctor. So that your doctor would be able to check properly and diagnose exactly what the problem is.
Well, there is indeed no scientific finding to prove that caffeine has something to do with breast cysts. But even at that, it’s better to stay safe. And one way is to reduce your consumption of caffeine. That’s the option for now until there is a scientific finding that proves the relationship between caffeine and breast cysts.
